Onan has a new field flash about the model KY valve spring and there are a couple of things to check and if it passes they will replace both springs but if it fails any one of the checks they will replace the entire engine.
Wow, any idea what kind of other things they are checking? I know that my microwave was acting funny and now I am starting to wonder if anything else could be wrong.

I cannot find a mfg date. Trailer was built inn april of 2008.
Serial nbr is C080167491 I did not hear it when it shut down, but it has always run smooth and steady, never sounded like it over reved, sounds like my friends that have the same unit. I have looked it over more and just noticed that the other spring is also broken. Has 12 hours on it. Thank you for your help.

Onan valve adjustment
My new Onan 4.0 with less than 20 hours broke a valve spring recently. Been waitng on parts and was advised that Onan had a bad batch of valve springs and that both springs should be replaced. Does anyone know the procedure to adjust these valves? Model is
4KYFA-6747K. Or I could try to replace them without lossening the rocker nuts? Thanks.

7 months old. Reason I wiil pay for the repair is that the repair centers have a 2 to 3 week wait to get in. Then I got to tow it their and back when done. I just find it odd that the spring broke in two places. I heard awhile back that Onan was going to start to make these in China, hope thats not the case.

Onan 4.0 update to no fuel code
Again, new Onan 4.0 15 hours. Quit running never to restart with a code 36 which is a no fuel code. After mobile tech checks everything that I checked, he pulls the valve cover to find a broken valve spring. Spring is broken into 3 pieces, everything else seems fine, vavle slides smooth and so does the prush rod. Going to put in a new spring and keeper. Any thoughts? Thanks. I am going to pay $150. for repair since this guy is not Onan certified and I do not want to wait 3 weeks to get it in.

I am gonna try the carb again. It has not run since it first shut down. I did spray a tiny amount of starting fluid and it did fire. I just hate using it. Are there any small things that could fall out when I drop the bowl other than the normal? When I did it the first time it all looked safe, but I have never the solenoid thing on the bowl before. I did check the plug and it was sparking. Thanks again.

Onan 4.0 problem
Have a 6 month old Onan 4.0 that suddenly quit running. Error code I am getting is no fuel #36. I am not sure if this could be the last code before this event, like during testing at the dealer since the manual states the last code is always saved. Fuel tank is full. Any way here is the deal, I pulled the spark plug and it is dry and clean, drained the carb float bowl to check for fuel, all good. Primed and listened to the fuel pump run, drained the bowl again to verify gas was entering bowl, all good. Pulled bowl off and it was spotless clean and checked that the solenoid was not stuck, again good. Now I am stuck, talked to my dealer is not real close and he says that if it is fuel/carb issue, Onan will likely not cover it. I always use stablizer and run once a month, the carb is spotless. I hate to take it in, I was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them? Thanks.

I have not had the best experience there either. I have found that if you do not get up at 5am and get in line to wait, there is not much left. Might want to check out 1st place motorsports in apple valley. They are having a parking lot sale this weekend and I have dealt with a guy named Tony who has done me right. Ride safe.

Feedback on Attitude trailers
Just wanted to post on my experiences with Attitude and factory service. I have had a couple of minor issues and the people at Attitude have been great. They obviously care enough to take care of their customers. Danny and Chris have been excellent to deal with.
Also, very happy with my trailer, I would do it all over again. The infamous weight sticker was also incredibly accurate. :)

There is no msrp for attitude. They make up what they want. Kind of a newer company thing. The deal does not sound bad, but we do not know what options you have and the 09 models have major upgrades. Check out carls trailers while your at it. They gave me a better deal than Mcmahons.

I pull a 27ft attitude that weighs in with propane, batteries, and a little bit of stuff at 8k. I have an 08 titan that does very well. I cannot fly up the hills and I do not tow it loaded with bikes or water unless I am going very close. I am not over any weight ratings, but I take it real easy and am in no hurry to get there.

Need help with a/c
On my new trailer I just tried out the a/c since its now 100 degrees here. Mine is a 15k btu roof mount that is ducted, but does not have the cold air vent that can open right next to the return air, I think I am going to need to change that grill. Also, I only have two air vents in the front and two in main area, for a total of 4. I do not think that is enough for my size of unit and trailer, 27ft. I noticed that duo-therm has the other vented grill as an option, not sure why attitude did not send it out that way, but I will be on the phone in the morning. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is the genset on the same side as the repair? Sounds like this started to happen after the repair? Sounds like your leaking exhaust fumes inside and do not have airflow to cool the generator. Check the area under the gen. Their is openings for the hot air to vent out, also check the whole exhaust pipe carefuly, maybe it became disconnected somewhere. Make sure you do this with the unit cold so you do not burn yourself. Grab the exhaust pipe and move it around, does it seem to be hooked up correctly? Get you genset owners manual out, it should show a cooling diagram for airflow around the gen. , the install manual may help you more. Can't think of anything else right now, good luck.

In my Warrior I had, I left the manual bed down and it came out of the track or brackets in front doing major damage to the sidewalls and such. I was honest with warrior when I called them and they took care of it, they treated me very well, but this was back in 05.
